I don’t know about you, but I’ve gotten a lot of events that say “we don’t pay speakers.”

And years ago, I would just think, “Dammit…you wouldn’t work for free so stop asking me.”

But then I got smart about it. And here’s an example of what Kristen did when she got this response.

If you don’t understand that, then you’re screwed.

But the other thing you have to understand is…when people respond to you, it’s a reaction, not an ultimatum.

So before you say “I won’t speak for free”…make sure you watch this new video so you learn how to respond the right way.
