Check out this email I got:
“I’ve been a speaker for years but I’m still struggling to get gigs. I’ve been thinking about getting a normal job because my career isn’t going the way I thought, so what should I do?”
I answer it in the video.
There are a lot of people who are in a similar situation (not just speakers). They’ve been doing something for years and haven’t seen the results they expected.
With speakers, I see it all the time. I ask, “How long have you been a speaker for?” And they say 10, 15, 20 years, etc. But deep down, they’re struggling because a speaking gig only comes in once in a blue moon.
What do you do when you’re not getting as many gigs as you want?
What do you do when you silently sit by yourself and acknowledge that you’re struggling?
