I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done a presentation where they loved me, but didn’t bring me back for next year.
At first, I thought there was something wrong with me (like how people say you’re great in person and then talk about you behind your back).
The advice I heard was that, “If you do a good job, they will hire you again…year after year after year.”
So when I did a great job, got a standing ovation, got tons of praise, then never got the call back for next year, I thought, “What the hell?”
Little did I know, that piece of advice about ‘getting hired year after year’ is crap.
(You’ll see why when you watch the video)
There’s a simple reason as to why someone will love you, but not hire you again.
So you need to do this instead.
(This shift in thinking got me on stages because it changed the actions I took at every event)
