The money is made in the follow up. But how often should you follow up?
How aggressive should you be?
If you’re not aggressive enough, you won’t get on stages.
If you’re too aggressive, they’ll think you’re desperate and will ignore you.
So where do yo draw the line between aggression and wimp status?
Unfortunately, most speakers stop too soon when they’re trying to get hired.
Someone says ‘we will keep you on file’ and…that’s that. No gig. Just a speaker sitting home feeling sorry for himself.
